Good Friday at Home

CHOCOLATE OVERLOAD!

Baby Ruth and Crunch?? Daaamn, i feel so guilty giving in to temptation on a Good Friday, but lazy days in our household do make people on a diet go into depression. So here's the yummy part. Because I love my readers, I will give you a recipe that will make you knock your socks off!

Here's what you'll need:
1 ice cream MUG/CUP/GLASS/Whatever
Nestlé Baby Ruth Ice Cream (Chocolate Collection)
Nestlé Crunch Ice Cream (Chocolate Collection)

Directions:
Scoop the same amount of frozen ice cream from each flavor and mix it until it becomes a mushy concoction.
EAT. (trust me, it's to die for!)
April 20, 2011
Spiced Tuna Omelette. Served with ketchup. YUM!

You might be wondering why I took so many photos, it's only because i'm bored and I didn't have access to any models. What's good is that the ice cream containers were great models. They captured the right amount of light and made me love them more. Try it yourself, with window light, they look fabulous!

Cheap Morning Thrills

McDonald's in the Morning!
Limeketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines

Here's to my morning favorite. I enjoy having apple pie in the morning. I love the  cinnamon flavor that envelops the baked, juicy apples. YUM!

Okay, so we surprised our favorite twins, Ting and Ton, who are also my cousins, for their birthday! We had breakfast at McDonald's and I happily had my favorite snack, the McDonald's Apple Pie. This is definitely a winner when I feel like having something light, good and healthy. What's good about this snack is that it's available in morning and when i'm out with friends at dawn. HAHA. I totally gush over this pie. Hope you'll give it a try! It's only 25php!

The Adventures of Mickey and Minnie (April 17, 2011)

THE CAFE LAGUNA MENU
Mallberry Suites, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines

Cafe Laguna's Menu
Mickey, Minnie, and I had a late Sunday lunch last April 17, 2011. I look pretty disheveled as I went home at about 4 in the morning that same day, and had to wake up for church at 6am, that same day. Of course, Sunday lunch is always a rewarding treat for me, so I happily dragged myself to church.

Here's a free appetizer from Cafe Laguna. Salted Egg Salad? Fresh Tomatoes. YUM!

Beef Caldereta. It was named differently in the menu.

Pinakbet! I never seem to get enough of my favorite vegetable, the Squash!
This is my all-time favorite. Crispy KangKong! If every restaurant has this, I'll be ordering this every time. I make sure there's salt and pepper on the table when I eat this though.

Relyenong Bangus. It's like corned bangus and seasoned to taste like Relyenong Bangus. It's not to my liking, but Mickey liked it just fine.

Lumpia Shanghai. Seasoned meat with flour, essence of shrimp, and spices.

Crispy Tadjang. I'm not quite sure of the spelling, but it's deep fried ribs. Pretty good!

Cafe Laguna is known for this delectable dessert. Buko Pandan. Ask for extra rice crispies, to add texture, they give it away for free.. It's good to counteract the softness of the jelly.

Left to right. Me, Minnie, and Mickey.
The whole lunch date with Minnie and Mickey was a rewarding one. We had lots of laughs, and lots of family time. The food was scrumptious, despite my being light-headed I embraced the food well and had a great time. The waiters were well-poised, attentive, and kind enough to take a picture. I would definitely recommend eating at Cafe Laguna. When you're tight on budget, however, wait for some of my other posts, i'll find one that has great food valued at great price.
